An alien film crew documents the charismatic Earthling Jimmy Fresneaux as he struggles to become a celebrity TV fisherman. They are gathering data for possible contact, but evil saboteurs are plotting to turn Earth into a secret galactic sweatshop instead. So when a flying saucer crashes into his fishing hole, Jimmy offers to hide the stranded aliens if they'll catch the fish for his TV show. And while the local Almighty doesn't consider fake TV fishing shows to be sinful, the meddling aliens make Him jealous and vengeful.
