The price proves high for those closest to them and each new discovery brings difficult answers to even harder questions. Further complicating matters, Madmar's agents begin to squabble with each other, forcing agents of a shadowy secret society to intervene. An uncomfortable reunion for Ezra One as he returns home reveals that no one is out of Dr. Madmar's reach as long as he goes unchallenged.
