After losin' his lovin' mother to a heart attack on the East-side portion of Oklahoma City in the 1950s, a pre-teen moves to the West-side portion of Oklahoma City, in a white neighborhood where he is adopted by a white family, who enrolls him into an all-white school where he faces racism & prejudice.
