Universal Meaning

We all strive to understand our world. At some point, most of us ponder the meaning of existence and search for purpose in our lives. The answers we seek are not easily found, for the wisdom needed to do so is not easily attained. It is not fruit that can be plucked from a tree, but a mountain that must be climbed. The climb involves an ongoing search for truth about our world and ourselves. It is in the spirit of such a search that this book is offered for your consideration. It is a scientifically-grounded journey in search of the meaning for your (and my) existence; one that is linked with the meaning for the existence of our species, the existence of life and the existence of everything.

The Journey begins with an examination of our Universe, in order to understand that from which our existence comes. It continues with an examination of our strengths and weaknesses as a species, including the world that we have created. It then provides pertinent recommendations regarding changes and actions that each of us can embrace as individuals, and that we most likely must embrace as a species, if we are to continue to thrive (and even to survive) on this earth and, eventually, within our Universe. The Journey within this book is one that can serve as either the beginning, or the continuation, of a never-ending search for understanding of some of the most important issues in our lives.
