The fate of a magical world rests on the shoulders of a thirteen-year-old girl in Suzanne Robinson's enchanting young adult novel, "Unifree."

Long ago the land of Unifree was a peaceful kingdom. That is, until the Great War came-an epic battle between the unicorn Queen Ventra and the dark army, led by the evil troll Drex. But the war came to an end when Ventra sacrificed herself to create a powerful magical barrier to separate the land of Unifree from its attackers. Unifree was now divided-but safe.

But when Drex discovers a way to break through to Unifree, he kidnaps the king's daughters-who just so happen to hold the power of the magical barrier. The king then sends Apollo, the captain of the Unicorn Guard, on a mission to the real world to bring back the one human who can help defeat Drex-a young girl named Annie.
