Uncle Hermann: My Cursed German Inheritance
Autor Bettina Sellers-Göring, Melissa Mülleren Limba Engleză Hardback – 25 mar 2027
Bettina Göring's name is her legacy. As the great-niece of Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring, she grew up in the shadow of his crimes. Early on, she rebelled against her own family's history and escaped the connection to her uncle and into the world of hippies and free spirits of America.
But Bettina had found that it is difficult to escape your own past, and realized that she, too, had followed false leaders. Only through confronting her family's dark side could she set herself free. Bettina Göring offers a deeply personal glimpse into her family's history and bears courageous witness to dealing with her difficult inheritance.
This book exposes the raw nerve of German inherited history—and does so from a personal and lived perspective. It explores how the shadow of a Germany of the past continues to affect the nation and its people today, bringing into focus the fundamental question of meaning for an entire generation.
