It's almost the start of the summer holidays and Jodie Parkinson is looking forward to moving to her Uncle Basil's old house with her mum and sister. No one knows why Uncle Basil has left or where he's gone but when Jodie discovers the hidden secret of his shed in the garden she wants to find out more about his reasons for leaving. As she learns more about Uncle Basil's work and his amazing inventions she soon realises he may be in danger so she decides to see if she can find him. Accompanied by Basil's pet hamster Spanner Jodie is determined to uncover the truth and find her Uncle before it's too late.
