It's the summer before her senior year, when Carm is thrown into a situation that is by all means, life-altering. On the verge of freedom but still only 17, she must find a way to solve a crime that happened over 30 years ago, while putting up a front for her family and the neighborhood. However, someone has caught on, someone who may have more to hide than the average neighbor.
