An accidental double-booking forces California screenwriter Summer Hale and New York novelist Blake Avery to share a mansion on the beach in the Hamptons. Neither is up for playing a game of happy roommates.

He sees only a petulant Hollywood hack, and she sees a brash womanizer with a bloated ego. So from the start they set house rules to maintain boundaries. But when Summer gets blindsided by a personal deception and a professional setback, Blake reveals a surprisingly vulnerable and sympathetic side.
