Truth & Kitty: A Las Vegas Love Story is photographer and filmmaker David Harriman's fourteen-year portrait of two people surviving on the fringes of America's most marketed city. What began in 2012 as an exploration of environmental excess transformed into an unguarded, intimate collaboration. Meeting Truth and Kitty as industrious recyclers on Fremont Street, he stayed close to their lives as circumstances shifted and they found themselves homeless. The project deepened into a study of love and endurance. It is a record of two people clinging to one another through motels, underpasses, jails, and a mountain cave overlooking the shimmer of the famous Strip - even as the bond between them begins to fray. Around them, a whole community lives in the shadow of a city built on a dream that was never theirs to win.
