Everyone in Sisters, Oregon is waiting for me—the town troublemaker—to make my next bad decision. Especially Rowan Campbell.
My best friend’s older brother is the prototype for grumpy single dad with a hero complex and perpetually clenched jaw. Before I left town, he had a history of cleaning up my messes, something I’ve never asked him to do.
The most exciting thing in Rowan’s life is his color-coded calendar, which is why he’s the last person I’d ask for help now that I’m back in town.
But when some small-town scheming lands us across the country, sharing a motel room in the middle of a hurricane, the whole one bed situation is … revealing. Think kiss-in-the-rain, break-the-bed, chemistry-that-could-start-fires kind of revealing.
One night that was supposed to be a temporary indulgence reveals something else: beneath Rowan’s perfectly controlled exterior is the kind of man that I could fall for.
Problem is he’s too guarded to fall in love again, and I have no intention of staying. Except that one night followed us straight back to Sisters, turning into an attraction neither of us can fight.
Everyone expected me to make another bad decision. They just didn’t think it would be Rowan Campbell.
