Tried, Even as Abraham

The Lord declared that all of us must be Tried, Even as Abraham (D&C 101:4). Joseph Smith reaffirmed this when he said: [It is quite as necessary for you to be tried as it was for Abraham . . and if you cannot stand it, you will not be fit for an inheritance in the celestial kingdom of God.]

Tried, Even As Abraham - How God's Will Becomes Ours Forever explores what the trial of Abraham is, why our celestial inheritance depends on it, who else has faced this trial, how we know if we have experienced our own trial of Abraham, and what we do if we think we have failed it.

The Lord doesn't give us trials to fail. He wants us to succeed! Tried, Even as Abraham teaches us how God's love in our most ardent hardships brings hope to all who face great trials.
