Treatise on Watchmaking Construction

Autor Michel Vermot, Philippe Bovay, Damien Prongué, Sébastien Dordor, Vincent Beux
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 4 aug 2026
The long-awaited English translation of this definitive reference in the field, essential for watchmaking professionals worldwide.
Over the course of just a few decades, watchmaking technology has undergone profound change and renewal: new materials have emerged, new functions have enriched mechanical watches, electronic watches have entered the market, and analytical methods have continued to advance. A reference work presenting the full scope of current knowledge in the field has thus become essential. Written by specialists in education and industrial development, the Treatise on Watch Construction,is without equivalent, an indispensable companion for watch construction engineers and for practitioners working in technical offices and industrial laboratories. Structured around four major sections—mechanical theory, advanced mechanical theory of the oscillator, mechanical construction, and electronic theory—it sets out all the knowledge required to understand, calculate, and develop products in the field of mechanical and electronic watchmaking.
