This is a story about how, in 2002, I rode an AMTRAK train across the USA from Emeryville, CA to Boston, MA. I had my own room in a sleeper car, for three nights on the road. It was great fun. This book tells how I came to make the trip, and the sights I saw crossing the country riding a long-distance train.
