Set in Potsdam in 1945, this play features Tom Driberg and Clement Attlee, and two fictional characters: Driberg's friend Kitty, and Alexei, her Russian boyfriend. Alexei wants to defect, but is sold down the river by Kitty and Driberg, who speak of democracy but practise saving their own skins.
