What if the Chicxulub asteroid didn't randomly hit the Earth 66 million years ago-but was a deliberate act of sabotage by the interplanetary civilizations known as the Alliance? The idea: to end the planet's reign of dinosaurs and usher in the dawn of mankind. Not all were happy with the decision.
The shadowy Dr. Peter Nales isn't interested in space travel, promised riches, or human beings for that matter. He is an imposter sent by a rogue alien nation to reverse the course of time and steer humanity into destroying itself. His creation-the D-MEK System for the Spect-R corporation-is nothing more than a Trojan Horse with an ancient alien device capable of warping time and space woven into its mechanisms.
Colonel Jake McKinnon nor renowned astrophysicist Susan Harris knew any of this when they volunteer to lead a skeleton crew on the first government-sanctioned time-travel experiment. Jake's most pressing concern is preventing Brock Tate, CEO of the Spect-R corporation, from advertising the mission as a future safari expedition to hunt dinosaurs-a venture worth billions.
The 72-hour mission becomes a hellish nightmare when the ship is downed by an alien entity and ravaged by dinosaurs and vermin of the time. If not for the intervention of a mysterious figure, all would have been lost. The crew returns to the present buried underground and embroiled in a scheme by Peter Nales to destroy their vessel.
A miraculous rescue by amateur fossil hunter Bobby Hurley, as well as Jake and Susan's daughter, Ashli Harris, saves the day. However, scientists make a horrifying discovery: materializing back in time caused a ripple effect and changed the course of the Chicxulub asteroid. Peter Nales' plan had worked to perfection. In six months' time, humanity will be replaced by the Earth's rightful inhabitants-dinosaurs.
