She survived the divorce. How challenging can the next part be?
Dalia is unmoored in her late thirties. Tilted is a savagely funny novel about the emotional physics of coming back to yourself.
* * *
After pulling the pin on her marriage, Dalia finds herself living alone by the bay and unsure of who she is without the life she's known since her twenties. She keeps to the corporate routine she's never quite trusted, tries to be the kind of divorced woman people expect... and fails almost immediately.
As she moves through dating and its attendant humiliations, Dalia turns to the friendships that hold her together and begins to face the hard emotional truths she's been avoiding.
Streaked with flashes of feral wit, set against the salt air and shifting seasons of Melbourne, Tilted captures the strange, tender work of a woman becoming someone she can live with.
