Accompanying an exhibition of Tibetan Buddhist art from the 5th through the early 20th century, this catalogue shows objects of art from collections and monasteries of central Tibet. It focuses on representations of the most important deities and teachers in paintings and sculpture, but also includes mandalas, ritual objects, and essays on the religious rulers of Tibet as well as Tibetan medicine.
