Notă biografică

MARGARET KEANE is Head of Geography at St. Mary's University College, Belfast, Northern Ireland. Her research and publications have centred on the dynamics of community division, especially in Belfast, and on the relationship between place, identity and culture in Europe. She has collaborated in projects on the European dimension in geography, intercultural learning and internationalization, most recently in the Association of American Geographers' Center for Global Geography Education project. MARIA VILLANUEVA teaches Geography of Europe at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, where she has been working for many years in teacher education. Her main fields of work and research are the cultural approach to the European space and geographical and citizenship education, as reflected in her publications at national and international level. Her active participation in European projects afforded a wide range of international and intercultural experiences which have deeply influenced her personal and professional development.
