They Call Me Retard is a heartwarming story about Joey Parkins, a girl with Multiple Sclerosis, who was wrongly diagnosed with mental retardation. She is forced to live in a group home where she meets three other people with developmental disabilities. She leads her new friends in rising above the prejudice and injustices that they have been forced to face their entire lives.
