Ten generations after the Zombie Apocalypse, mankind has lost so much technology that they live a stone-age existence. Anna, a tough, resourceful girl of nineteen, is the last survivor of a scavenging expedition. She is saved from the zombie horde by Hunter, a craggy, old nomad who has survived for decades in the midst of the zombie infested no man's land. He has studied the ways of the zombies and pioneered survival techniques. Taking her under his protection, he teaches her that, "Zombies may be our enemies, but they are also our greatest resource."
