Edward Torrance, a horror writer is on top of the world with his best selling horror novels until his wife, a literary critic for a national magazine gives him a bad book review. As his world topples with bad reviews and low book sales, he becomes almost insane. After he becomes a failure, his wife divorces him and he seeks revenge against her, his agent and anyone else connected with his career. His method of vengeance is torture and sadism, arts his wife has taught him and a lifestyle she has learned from her new husband, a cop with a terrible secret.
