"Steve Cole is a master storyteller. Prepare to meet your new favourite bunch of scrappy animals." -- Eoin Colfer, author of the Artemis Fowl series
Scamp and the other animals in the pet shelter are very used to their routine. Their human, Pam, takes good care of them. Even as strange and dangerous things have happened outside the store, the animals have remained safe and protected.
Then one day Pam doesn't show up. Suddenly the animals are now on their own. And in order to survive, they are going to have to go outside and find a new safe place.
Scamp must lead the animals -- two dogs, a rabbit, a parrot, a mean cat, and two tiny hamsters -- on a survival adventure through an abandoned city, where other, wilder animals roam free. It's a fur-raising, twist-and-turn-filled journey in a world gone... wild.
