Jenna Khalski, is a gifted high school senior living in New York City, dealing with the recent disappearance of her older sister, Emmeline. With the help of her friends, and Ben, her would-be boyfriend, the teens search for answers only to find themselves unwilling participants of the dangerous Whitehall Trials. The trials leave the teens forever changed--giving them newfound abilities to either harm or heal. The teens are then shipped off to the highest bidder at auction, where Jenna uncovers more than she ever thought she would about her sister, her family, and the boy she loves.
