The authors explore the communities living in The Great Lagoon, one of the biggest resting places for migratory birds in the Baltic Sea area. The book advances a food web model of the Polish part of this region, taking into account features such as the levels of consumption, production, respiration, the amount of unassimilated food, mortality, sedimentation, the accumulation in sediment and the export of individual system components.
