J. Dharma Windham is a novelist, lifelong sailor, and experienced offshore navigator whose maritime fiction draws upon years spent at sea. At twelve, as a rite of passage, he served as a member of his father’s crew on a Pacific crossing to Hawaii. In later years, he sailed his own vessel through the Sea of Cortez and along the western coast of North America. His knowledge of celestial navigation, coastal piloting, seamanship, and life aboard sailing vessels brings an unusual authenticity to his nautical adventures. He is the author of numerous historical and adventure novels, including Captain Nemo: The Beginning, and lives in Southern California.
