The enchanting writer, Rob Vagle, presents a stunning and magical short novel in his A Cut Beyond series.
Henry must solve a mystery. At fifty-nine years of age he owns a dank bar, lives in a trailer park with his beloved dog, Hunter, and drives a smelly, oil-burning Dodge Caravan. His mind and memory still fires on all cylinders, yet the sudden appearance of the barbershop in the former vacant storefront next door to his bar stumps him.
Monica loves driving her sporty Mercedes-Benz with the top down, the salty wind blowing in her hair on the California coast. But not as much as she loves her fiancee, Lisa, an aerial arts performer. Whatever Lisa wants, Lisa gets. Like bread from her favorite bakery on Prospect Street. But a strange new salon draws Monica in like a magnet. Five minutes later she finds herself far away from San Diego with a reflection unlike her own.
Two very different people body-switched. Two people suddenly lost and alone, clamoring to get back to their lives and bodies. If they can.
The Switch, part of the A Cut Beyond series, a stand-alone fantastic tale about disconnections and connections when the universe flips everything upside down.
