The Superaustralians

Comic author and artist CHRISTOPHER SEQUEIRA is a conceptualist and commission- ing editor of mystery, science fiction, horror and fantasy prose and comic-book anthologies, as well as being a writer himself. He has worked on such books as the four volume Cthulhu: Deep Down Under series; Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Was Not; Sherlock Holmes: The Australian Casebook; Dracula Unfanged; the all-star creator anthology Caped Fear: Superhuman Horror Stories (featuring Joe R. Lansdale, George R. R. Martin and others); Kolchak the Night Stalker-- Nosferatu; and Nosferatu Unbound. His comic-book scripts include work on the franchises X-Men, Iron Man, Justice League, Star Trek, and The Human Fly, as well as original concepts of his own. He lives in Sydney with his family. His first novel, a crime thriller, debuts in 2026. He is also a writer on the SuperAustralians project. SCHERPENHUIZEN is an author, illustrator and academic whose illustrations, fiction, comic-book work and reviews have appeared on and in publications for Bolinda Press, Hinkler books, Echo Bonnier and IFWG; and in the following magazines and comics: Bloodsongs, Mattoid, Severed Head, The Watch, The Glowing Man, Mr Blood, and Pulp Action (the last three providing illustrations for work authored by frequent collaborator Christopher Sequeira). He worked with Michal Dutkiewicz on Wolverine Doombringer and Lost in Space comics, pencilling backgrounds and secondary characters and the odd complete page. He has inked W. Chew Chan's second issue of Buckeroo Banzai for Moonstone comics and Jason Frank's illustrations in the second volume of Sixsmiths, to which he also contributed a chapter of art and two covers for the serialised version. From 2008-2009 he completed his first graphic novel, The Time of the Wolves, which was serialised by Black House Comics as The Twilight Age. Recent years have seen the appearance of a number of his short stories in anthologies such as Sherlock Holmes: The Australian Casebook, Cthulhu Deep Down Under Volume 2 and Dracula Unfanged. In 2020 he was awarded a Doctor of Arts Degree from The University of Sydney for Dutch Technique/the Saga of the Atlantean, a hybrid graphic novel/ literary novel/faux thesis and research paper. Currently he is working on the art for a five-issue story arc of The Human Fly written by Christopher Sequeira and Jason Franks and published by IPI comics.
