Ash has survived exile, violence, and the dangerous streets of Hope. Now he faces an enemy he cannot defeat with a blade: his dependence on opium.
As he struggles to reclaim control of his life, his father arrives with news that threatens what remains of their family's honour. Ash's sister, Shade, has stolen the Crown of Kings, a sacred relic demanded by the Snow Leopard-the war leader seeking to unite their people. Unless the Crown is returned, Ash's entire clan may be cast out of their homeland.
Finding Shade should be difficult enough. Keeping her alive may be harder.
The Snow Leopard has already sent his own ruthless agents after her, while powerful interests in Hope have reasons of their own to possess the Crown. Ash is forced back into a world of criminal alliances, political schemes, old loyalties, and dangerous bargains as the hunt carries him beyond the city and toward a conflict larger than his family's disgrace.
Ash must decide what he owes the people who exiled him, how far blood should outweigh betrayal, and whether restoring his family's honour is worth the price that may be demanded.
The Snow Leopard's Crown continues Kim Kerr's Dark Elf story with a fast-moving fantasy quest of intrigue, divided loyalties, political ambition, friendship, and one very complicated family.
