Constance Marie Baltimore-or Connie, as everyone calls her-has her life planned: finish high school with a perfect academic record, snag every scholarship at her college's chemistry department, earn a PhD, and segue into an illustrious research career. Sure she may be a dateless wonder with only one female friend (memorizing the periodic table certainly hasn't helped), but even Connie knew something had to give. All she has to do is get through her final year of high school. Everything changes when her sister separates from her husband and moves back home with their family, creating levels of drama even Connie didn't anticipate. Add an opinionated grandmother, two overworked parents, and a mysterious family friend, and suddenly Connie's life seems more complicated than her project on molecular-sized circuits.
