A Roman army in Scythia captures an enigmatic, gold-clad girl. Shipwreck, earthquake and arrest for treason attend her captors and when she is returned to her homeland, a final battle ensues between the Sarmatians, the Romans and the Scythians as the emperor of Rome succumbs to madness before his overthrow and murder.
