What happens when a philosophy professor trades the classroom for a detective's desk?
In small-town Millwood, Wendell Walsh takes a year's sabbatical from academia to join the scrappy, two-person We'll Find Out Detective Agency-and quickly learns that quiet streets can hide locked-room murders, staged suicides, clever cons, and secrets tucked behind ordinary front doors. Alongside agency regulars Duke Munshower and sharp-witted Judy Mills, Wendell brings a philosopher's gift for logic to cases the police are all too eager to close.
Each case offers a fresh whodunit, clever investigation, and satisfying twists. As the clues build, every alibi deserves a second look-and the truth is rarely what it seems. With small-town charm, engaging characters, and mysteries designed to keep readers guessing, Sabbatical Sleuth is a welcoming read for fans of crime stories, murder mysteries, and traditional whodunits.
