The Road from Nowhere

R.J. Pearce was born in 1933 in Essex. After a fairly conventional education, he served his National Service in Malaya through 1951 to 1953. Following demob he met and married Sheila, the mother of his three children, David, Lynn and Stephen. He joined the Met police in 1957 and following that he owned and ran his own business. In the subsequent years he worked as a security consultant with a leading company in the field. He became a company secretary and later worked for the MOD until his retirement at 65. He has always been a keen cyclist and athlete, preferring half and full marathons. His passion however is golf which he has played for over 55 years. After his divorce, he moved to Australia where he and Diana lived for seven years, returning to the UK in 2013. In 2015 he and Diana were married and now live in North Wales.
