Shanath knows her mother wants her dead, but she doesn't know how the woman intends to have it come about. Fleeing the castle, Shanath joins five newfound friends on a quest to search for the Rajad. Determined to obtain the power of the Revealing known only to these alien beings, her journey turns out to be one of survival. Bent on her destruction, a monster, conjured by her mother, stalks her and will kill everyone in its path to hunt her down. When staying one step ahead of the beast becomes futile, Shanath resorts to the only option she has left to remain alive: a potion of dubious magic. Perfect for fans who love dark fantasy adventures, the book ratchets up the tension on the first page and never lets up.
