Notă biografică
Dr. Efrat LaMandre, known as "The NP with a PhD," has been on the inside of the medical world for more than a decade. She founded EG Healthcare, one of the largest nurse practitioner-led practices in the country, caring for both pediatric and adult patients. She is Editor-in-Chief of The Nurse Practitioner Journal and a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She also chairs the foundation board of Staten Island University Hospital. Things took a turn when her wife got sick, and the system she had learned to trust ran out of answers. Looking for them, she got certified in functional medicine and then earned her PhD in integrative medicine. Combining this with the medicine she was already practicing, she built a platform for science-literate people who want more for their health. Her educational reels went viral, and she founded the podcast The Medical Disruptor, where she guides people to walk into the exam room as partners in their own care.
