The Gospel message is the message of peace with God through the blood of Jesus (Colossians 1:20; Romans 5:1). Having that absolute assurance of knowing that we are saved prepares us and makes us ready for the hot sands and sharp rocks of spiritual warfare. This peace, along with the peace of God (Philippians 4:7), imparts a wonderful sense of freedom and calm, relieves us of many burdens, and gives us a courageous spirit and attitude as we travel on our pilgrim journey and as we engage in spiritual warfare.
