This is a story about a successful school principal & basketball coach and a failed job interview in 1950 that changed his career direction 180 degrees and opened a door of opportunity for a journey that led to the Houston Space Center 17 years later. There were forks in the road and stops along the way. The experiences of work and recreation were challenging, interesting, exciting, one of a kind and at times disappointing, but always rewarding.
