"The Music Within" chronicles, from personal experiences, how friends and family influence musical tastes throughout life. Everyone has a "soundtrack" to their lives. It comes from many places - heredity, childhood, listening to radio and recordings, playing an instrument, singing, dancing, from television and films, concerts, travel, from nature and more. As we listen, new genres and styles enter our lives, enhancing our accumulation of sounds. My non-scientific story is intentionally entertaining to amplify how the music within us impacts our lives in subtle ways.
