What if a lion could dance--and carry your love across the world?
Mei loves lions--big, strong ones at the zoo and the silly, playful ones she makes at home. One day, while visiting her grandmother in Beijing, she finds a bright, curious lion head hidden away. It's colorful, fluffy, and full of mystery. Mei wonders, what kind of lion could this be?
The very next day, Mei visits a busy fair to celebrate Chinese New Year. The air is filled with music, laughter, and the smell of yummy treats. Suddenly--boom!--drums start to play. Mei looks up and gasps. Lions are dancing!
These lions jump, spin, and blink their big, shiny eyes. They are not quite like the lions at the zoo. These lions are alive with stories! Mei giggles, watches in amazement, and even reaches out to touch one. It feels magical.
As Mei enjoys the dancing lions, she begins to understand something special. These lions aren't just for fun--they help people remember, celebrate, and share stories from long ago.
