This children's story was purposely written for parents to read to their children as a bedtime story over the course of several weeks, and possibly a few months, depending upon the ages and number of children and the family's schedule. It is intended to be a delightful and engaging resource tool for parents to use to accomplish the commandment found in The Doctrine and Covenants 68:25, to teach their children the doctrine and to introduce and discuss the principles of the gospel concerning faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins, and Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost, which are the principles found in the Fourth Article of Faith. Woven throughout the storyline are conversations, discussions, and questions that could be used as examples of ways that parents and children could interact as they teach and learn these four principles together.
