Given the experiences that he had witnessed while growing up and the path his father and older brother chose to travel, author Rasuwl Jamil "JaeWay" Martin's life could have headed in the wrong direction. However, as a young child, JaeWay knew that he wanted his life to head in a positive direction, and he made the decision to do just that. The Miracle Child is his story. Still, like all of us, JaeWay encountered deep, dark struggles throughout his life that left him feeling alone and afraid. He credits his mother, Deontra, and their close bond as his inspiration to continue to persevere and ultimately rise above every challenge and hardship.
