The Many-Storied Man

Jay Ellis is dead, and that's only the start of his problems.

He's trapped inside an apartment building with no exits, unable to remember how he came to be here. Worse, the only residents of this building are his own characters, the protagonists of his many failed short stories. Each of their narratives replays from the beginning when he walks through its door.

He can still write changes into the stories. However, small edits can cascade into major differences, and some of these characters are more than meets the eye. When his alterations unlock unpleasant memories, he learns that not only is his current reality not what he thinks it is, but there's a danger looming that threatens its-and his-very existence.

If Jay can't uncover the truth before time runs out, this building may indeed become his afterlife-permanently.
