Sometimes all it takes is one letter ... and the courage to send it. After years wasted on a man who never quite made the effort, café manager Emmie Hart is done with modern romance. When an eccentric fortune teller predicts she'll travel to a puffin-filled island and remind people that the greatest love stories begin with a handwritten letter, Emmie takes a leap of faith.
Transforming a vintage pink caravan into Dear Heart, a travelling Love Letter Café, she heads to Puffin Island's struggling Romance Festival, armed with one simple idea - invite strangers to write the words they've never had the courage to say.
At first the letters make people laugh. Then they make them cry. But when mysterious letters begin revealing long-buried island secrets, Emmie and festival organiser Ben Cartwright discover someone has been waiting decades to tell their story...
