Notă biografică

Reina Ollivier (Ukkel, Belgium, 1956) studied Germanic languages at the Universities of Brussels and Leuven. She combined writing with teaching at secondary schools for many years, but now she’s a full-time author and renowned translator. Young children have an open mind and are eager to learn. That’s why Reina loves to offer them information in an attractive and playful manner. She has written multiple books in Clavis Publishing’s "Want to Know" series, and together with polar explorer Dixie Dansercoer, she wrote the thrilling series about Emma Dewitt and her adventures in the polar regions. Reina is also the co-author of the wildly popular Super Animals series.

Karel Claes (1955) was born in Vilvoorde, Belgium. He studied Literature, Philosophy, and Communication. During his impressive career, he has worked as the director of Doctors Without Borders, he has made children’s and youth shows for national television, he has been the editor-in-chief of two children’s magazines, and he has published a successful series of articles on important life issues. Karel loves traveling, sailing, playing tennis, cross-country skiing, swimming, and reading.

Steffie Padmos studied illustration at the art academies of Maastricht (the Netherlands) and Bath (United Kingdom). She obtained a master’s degree in scientific illustration. Because of this background, Steffie has a lot of experience in depicting complex biological and medical subjects. Her work is characterized by craftsmanship, an eye for detail, and an interest in nature. Steffie lives in Eindhoven (the Netherlands) with her two children and partner.
