The Light Inside was written for children of all ages to help them connect with their " inner light" and explains how they are born whole and full of goodness. The book is inspired by Rumi's poem "You are not a drop in the ocean; you are the entire ocean in a drop." Through the story of a lost boy who must navigate his way back home through fear, anxiety, and doubt, The Light Inside helps children learn that they have an inner light that can guide them like a compass. This light is indestructible and pure. The book's themes of introspection, stillness, and gratitude aim to slowly reorient children towards their natural state. It is an excellent resource for exploring themes of spirituality with children in clear, easy to understand terms. This is a book for both parents and children that can read together and will appeal to all those people who love inspiring stories along with the magnificent illustrations of renowned illustrator Demi (Charlotte Hunt), who has gained a large following among parents and children, having published over 300 books. The simple story and the beautiful illustrations point the way to the source of lasting contentment in a world filled with difficulties.
