The Lie Collector

Ann Howard Creel's lifelong passion for storytelling began at age twelve on a rescued typewriter. While working for years as a registered nurse, the urge to write remained constant. Today, Ann is a full-time author of bestselling historical fiction, including The Magic of Ordinary Days, which was adapted into a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. Known for her meticulously researched settings-from Victorian-era Galveston to the Smoky Mountains-Ann's novels center on resilient women forced to navigate high-stakes, life-altering decisions. When not writing, Ann likes travel and music festivals, hiking in the Smokies for exercise, and lately discovering cooking, trying to master Indian food. She once lived and worked on the Navajo reservation and volunteered in Africa during the AIDS epidemic.
