Many of us are abused, and many of us are also abusers, and we live in the shadows, un-noticed and unheard. We never really know anyone-we get glimpses, and we fill in the blanks, often incorrectly. We are, each, the sum total of our history, our lineage, our environment, and our society, and for Mary-Jane it was no different. Her journey does not start at a beginning, but begins in the middle of a web. Some are able to pass by, some get caught. Like the making of a meal, we see all the ingredients and preparations that have gone into the woman she becomes.
