The dirty business of keeping the stars shiny and clean.

Through his experienced lens, Bartie influences the lives and creation of some of the world’s greatest stars: Duke Drake, Carroll Madison, Mirielle Montaigne, and the heiress, Grace Greystone, La Marquise de Faucigny, exposing how their images are created, managed, and intersect through the Great War and glamor of Tinseltown.

The Hollywood Fix by novelist Richard Kirshenbaum, although a simply masterful and sweeping work of literary fiction, is inspired by (and based upon) true stories drawn from the iconic movie studio system era and their PR machines which not only created movie actor/actress legends but kept from exposure the dirty doings of those movie stars (and the studios that made money with them) shiny and clean for public consumption. An exceptional and entertaining read from start to finish, The Hollywood Fix is an extraordinary and highly recommended pick for community library literary fiction collections.”
“A dazzling, razor-sharp portrait of Hollywood’s glittering façade—and the ruthless machinery grinding beneath it. The Hollywood Fix crackles with wit, intrigue, and unflinching honesty.
