Lance Corporal North is a 19 year old Marine in Vietnam on the eve of the Tet Offensive. Fighting in the battle for Hue City, he experiences surreal apparitions after being wounded, which take him beyond the stark realism of combat, and into an agonizing conflict between the choice of duty and deliverance.
