A serial killer is mailing death through the U.S. Postal Service. And Baltimore is the first target. When Baltimore television reporter Ginger McGuire fails to show up for a broadcast, Hunter Morgan is asked to assist. Detective Bill Wilson discovers the murder weapon: fentanyl delivered in an envelope. Soon, more mail-related deaths follow across Maryland and Virginia. A federal task force is formed, but they are always one step behind. Cletis Monroe is part of a high-end auto theft ring. A stolen Bentley and Bugatti tie him to the fentanyl murders. Former Deputy Special Agent in Charge Joe D'Elia launches a parallel investigation, much to the frustration of his former associate Lonnie Jerry. Baltimore Mirror reporter Dusty Rhodes and her assistant's investigative skills help D'Elia and Morgan solve the case, with a surprise ending. From Vietnam combat veteran Mike Sutton comes a relentless crime thriller featuring recurring characters Hunter Morgan, Joe D'Elia, and Dusty Rhodes. The Vietnam Veterans of America's VVA Veteran praised The Gene Pool Boy for its pace and plot. A reviewer called Sutton's six-novel collection "just ripe for a T.V. mini-series thriller." Perfect for fans of police procedurals, serial killer thrillers, and authentic crime fiction written by someone who has lived it. Read the series. Follow the characters. Feel the pressure.
